The third “Jūrmalas festivāls” festival will take place on July 17-19, with four magnificent concerts at Dzintari concert hall. The festival’s honorary artist – singer Aleksandrs Antoņenko – together with world-famous artists Raimonds Pauls, Ksenija Sidorova, the Latvian Radio Big Band, “Sinfonietta Rīga” and others will provide an unforgettable summer musical adventure at Dzintari concert hall. Opening concert on July 17 offers a beautiful program with maestro Raimonds Pauls at the piano, the Latvian Radio Big Band and the string ensemble “Sinfonietta Rīga”. On the agenda – Jazz arrangements of opera arias by world-famous composers. The melodies will revel in a new and surprising, harmonious sound, keeping their primeval nature and beauty. They will be colored with the presence of jazz music, as well as the special piano sound, the unique performance of the legendary maestro Raimonds Pauls.
July 18 will feature two programs. On the stage of the restored historic Dzintari concert hall – the Small hall – at 18:00 the beloved and internationally known accordionist Ksenija Sidrova will perform, providing an original and stylistically diverse program for string virtuoso listeners, together with the “Spīķeri” quartet. From fleeting melancholy to a gallant and pure beauty of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Adagio” and “Rondo K617″, to Czech romantic Antonin Dvořák’s “Bagatelles” and the Latvian premiere of modern Russian composer Sergey Akhunov’s composition “Two Keys to One Brodsky’s Poem”.
The Great Hall of Dzintari Concert Hall invites you to a unique concert by the world famous London Gospel Choir at 8:00 pm. The choir regularly perform on the major UK stages – Wembley Stadium, Royal Albert Hall – and are frequent guests at the legendary Glastonbury Festival. The choir has performed with Kylie Minogue, Tina Turner, Madonna, James Brown, George Michael, Sir Paul Mccartney, Sting, Elton John, Depeche Mode and other famous artists. One of the most sought-after choirs in the world – the London Gospel Choir – will perform their only concert in the Baltic States at the “Jūrmalas festivāls” festival at Dzintari concert hall.
The festival’s honorary artist, the world-famous Latvian tenor Aleksands Antoņenko, together with pianist Daniels Pavļuts will perform a solo concert in the restored historic Small Hall of Dzintari Concert Hall on July 19, at 8:00 pm. They will perform the most beautiful melodies of composer Richard Strauss’s creations.
