Cello

Poļina Hļebņikova was born and took her first steps in music in Liepāja, at the Karosta Music School under the guidance of teacher Marta Rozentāle. She continued her musical education at the Emīls Dārziņš Secondary School of Music with teacher Romāns Trautmanis. After graduating from the Dārziņš School, she joined Prof. Ramon Jaffé’s cello class at the Carl Maria von Weber Music Academy in Dresden.

She has actively participated in various competitions and concerts, both as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensembles. Together with students from the Dresden Music Academy, she formed the ARTrio piano trio, with which she actively performs in Germany. She has twice won 1st place in the Paris International Competition “Nouvelles Étoiles” in both the soloist and chamber ensemble categories. Later, she was twice invited to perform at the winners’ concerts, both as a soloist with an orchestra and as a member of ARTrio, in Paris.

“I enjoy performing not only as a soloist but also collaborating with various ensembles, which allows me to explore new facets of music and strive for a shared vision and sound. Music is an eternal journey that offers the opportunity to discover oneself along the way.”
