Baritone

Baritone Vladislav Sulimski, who charmed the visitors to Dzintari Concert Hall at last year’s Jurmala Festival GALA concert, was born in Belarus but graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in St. Petersburg. He has been successful in many international competitions and is a soloist at Mary Theatre since 2004. Vladislav Sulimski sang Onegin at the Bastille Opera in Paris, Teatro Real Madrid, Moscow Grand Theatre and Malmo Opera, Yelecki in Turin Theatre in Reggio, sang Pastor “Hovenschina” and Pantaloni in “Love on Three Oranges” at the German Opera in Berlin, Count Luna in “Troubadour” by Verdi, the Jago in “Otello” at the Vienna State Opera, and the title role in the Verdi Opera “Rigoleto” at the Wiesbaden Opera. He has also sung at the Royal Opera in Stockholm, the Mikeli Festival, Theater an der Wien, Helsinki, Cologne, Dallas opera houses and other venues. Vladislav Sulimski regularly performs with the outstanding artist Anna Netrebko in the opera “Jolanta”, as well as in the operas “Troubadour” and “Love Drink”. In 2018, he made his debut at the Salzburg Festival with Tomsk role in the production of P. Tchaikovsky’s opera “The Queen of Spades”, conducted by Mariss Jansons. The recording of Dmitri Shostakovich’s opera “Nose” (conductor Valery Gergiev), in which Vladislav Sulimski sings the role of Kovalev, is nominated for a Grammy Award.
